Sunday Morning Classes:

Aug 29 and Sept 5: New Testament Women of the Bible.  Lydia, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha, Priscilla... Women played a variety of important roles in the life of Jesus and in the formation and development of the early church.  Learn about their lives and the impacts made by these and other women of the New Testament.  Facilitated by Royce Ann Collins.

Aug 29: Your Healthcare: It's the Heart.  Heart disease and stroke are among the leading causes of death for both men and women.  Learn ways to decrease your risk.  Facilitated by Cindy Moore.

Sept 5: Preview St. Paul's Meditation Trail.  Walk the new meditation trail on the grounds of St. Paul's.  Facilitated by Sandra Cox.

Sept 12 through Oct 3: The Maccabees.  A discussion on the history of Judah from the time of Alexander the Great through the Macabbean revolution and the Hasmonean dynasty.  Sessions will also cover the influence of this period on the life and times of Jesus and a discussion about violence in the bible and just war theory.  Facilitated by Scott Groth.

Sept 12: Your Healthcare: From Atkin's to the Zone Diet.  When it comes to diet, there are a lot of competing approaches to eating healthy.  Come learn what works and what doesn't.  Facilitated by Cindy Moore.

Sept 19: Preview St. Paul's Meditation Trail.  Walk the new meditation trail on the grounds of St. Paul's.  Facilitator TBD.

Sept 26: Influenza 2010/2011.  We will be discussing influenza infection and the vaccine that prevents it.  Learn how the vaccine is made, how it works, different vaccine options and why it is needed annually.  We will also discuss current vaccine recommendations and how they have changed from previous years.  Facilitated by Dr. Angela Myers. 

TBD: Immigration Reform & Arizona's New Law.  This class will provide an in-depth look at the issues surrounding immigration reform and how Arizona's new law will factor into subject.  Facilitated by Jim Martin.

Evening Classes:

Fall 2010 courses are forming now.  Opportunities include long-term Disciple classes (32 weeks), Christian Believer, short-term Bible studies (e.g. the Gospel of John) and others!  Please contact Royce Ann Collins for more information or to suggest a study.
