In 2009, St. Paul’s UMC celebrated our 25th anniversary as a congregation blessed by God’s faithfulness and led to serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. A lot has happened since that very first worship service in the cafeteria of Mill Creek Elementary School.
In honor of the occasion, St. Paul's hosted an evening of talent and entertainment entitled “Growing Up St. Paul’s” on Friday, November 13,2009 at 7:00 pm. The evening highlighted some favorite segments from past Dinner Theater shows as well as showcased some brand new talent in our congregation. To round out the evening, fabulous desserts will be served.
Then on Sunday, November 15. 2009, we gathered together for one worship service at 10:00 am to worship together as one family. Our choir and our praise band, BethanyBridge, performed special music
and our Sr. Pastor, Jim Darby, delivered a message reflecting on our unique identity as a congregation and the future God holds open for us. CLICK ON LINK TO HEAR THE MESSAGE http://stpaulslenexa.org/index.cfm?i=5259&mid=18&st=21177
Following worship, we shared a meal of thanksgiving together and of course, what's a party without cake! What a wonderful celebration it was!
